The rose is an old symbol. Not in the sense that we no longer have  regard for roses, but in the sense that it is an elder in plant medicine. The beloved rose has a long recorded history and it's presence persists strongly in our lives today (whether you love roses or not).  
 
The rose is an iconic symbol of the Great Divine Mother, Inanna and all of her many names (Mary Magdeline, Venus, Aphrodite and many more). The complexity within that is rich. 
There is the vulva, the sacred prostitute, religious rites, and mysteries of sexuality.

Holy Rose 'waistbeads' installation is beaded with red seed beads. It has trinktets of pearls and metal beads throughout, and  a set of 5 roses in the center.
