Sensual and Erotic Self-Love Through Egyptian Dance.

What does “being in my body” actually mean for me,
through Egyptian dance?
It's been about 8 years since I've taken a strong liking to Egyptian and North African dance. It isolates the parts of our bodies that are used for erotic pleasure... in such an expansive and carefully attuned way.
It's hip sorcery.
I've learned that the pelvis and hips are overwhelmingly powerful.
And that no matter the position I’m in, I am free to touch (energetically too) my body and accentuate erogenous zones like my shoulders and even my vagina, down to my fingertips.
I can quiver and quake on any point. I can grab a hold of the sensual tension and push it outward.
Improvisation is sensual tension...
It's never not a goldmine for getting in my body. We have always improvised in our way with music. When I surrender in dance, natural bodily responses occur within the improvisation of it. My movements become automatic, which means I may do things that I’d never done before... holding reverence for stillness.
This is equivalent to the natural responses that occur in love making. My vocalizations become more automatic.
Low growling, panting, hissing and squealing,
and I may experience pleasure in ways I hadn’t experienced prior.
What about repetition? The Drum
Repetition between the hips and the drum, at different paces and pressures…
And I quote @india.ameye, that is "internal lovemaking” to me.
Why wouldn’t I want to adore myself with all of this?
